Christ is the joy of meditation. It is his perception you feel in the deepest hours of silence. And this is my wish for you, that you may bring that Christ into your heart every day, every hour. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Christ is within you, and you can realize this truth by using the ancient yoga techniques of meditation. There is no instrument other than deep meditation that can detect the presence of that almighty Grace within. Still the body, withdraw energy from the senses into the brain, calm the heart: Christ will be there; you will feel the divine joy of the Infinite Christ. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
When the Christ Consciousness comes to you, you find within you the whole cosmos, with whirling worlds and universes hanging like ornaments around the Christmas tree of the spine. That is how Jesus celebrated “Christmas,” the birth of Christ Consciousness within him. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
To enjoy a real Christmas you should celebrate the birth of Christ Consciousness in the spiritual centers of divine perception in the brain and spine. In deep meditation you behold all the astral lights of the spinal centers, and there is an exchange of the Christ Consciousness and your consciousness. That is the real Christmas festivity. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
By the definite science of meditation known for millenniums to the yogis and sages of India, and to Jesus, any seeker of God can enlarge the caliber of his consciousness to omniscience — to receive within himself the Universal Intelligence of God. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Buddha, Christ, Krishna, great prophets of all climes and ages, had that consciousness. All who so aspire can achieve it. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
There is a distinguishing difference of meaning between Jesus and Christ. His given name was Jesus; his honorific title was “Christ.” In his little human body called Jesus was born the vast Christ Consciousness, the omniscient Intelligence of God omnipresent in every part and particle of creation. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Jesus went very deep in teachings that appear on the surface to be simple - much deeper than most people understand….In [his teachings] is the whole science of yoga, the transcendental way of divine union through meditation. - Paramahansa Yogananda.

(Lord) Sri Krishna’s message in the Bhagavad Gita is the perfect answer for the modern age, and any age: Yoga of dutiful action, of nonattachment, and of meditation for God-realization. To work without the inner peace of God is Hades; and to work with His joy ever bubbling through the soul is to carry a portable paradise within, wherever one goes. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
To avoid the pitfalls of the two extremes, renunciation of the world, or drowning in material life, man should so train his mind by constant meditation that he can perform the necessary dutiful actions of his daily life and still maintain the consciousness of God within. That is the example set by Krishna’s life. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
(Lord) Krishna’s life demonstrates his philosophy that it is not necessary to flee the responsibilities of material life. The problem can be solved by bringing God here where He has placed us. No matter what our environment may be, into the mind where God-communion reigns, Heaven must come. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
The Gita’s wisdom is not for dry intellectualists to perform mental gymnastics with its sayings for the entertainment of dogmatists; but rather to show a man or woman living in the world, householder or renunciant, how to live a balanced life that includes the actual contact of God, by following the step-by-step methods of yoga. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
The path advocated by (Lord) Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita is the moderate, medium, golden path, both for the busy man of the world and for the highest spiritual aspirant. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
The message of Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita stands as the doctrine best suited to our modern busy life of many worries. - Paramahansa Yogananda.

The yogi tries at all times to keep meditation-born peace enthroned in the mind, in every activity and in all dealings with others. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
As all colleges in the world teach the same principles of science, which can be proven by application, so all true religious schools, if they followed yoga, would be aware that it is the one scientific highway to the Infinite. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Release for constructive purposes the power you already have, and more will come. Move on your path with unflinching determination, using all the attributes of success. Tune yourself with the creative power of Spirit. You will be in contact with the Infinite Intelligence that is able to guide you and to solve all problems. Power from the dynamic Source of your being will flow uninterruptedly so that you will be able to perform creatively in any sphere of activity. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
See how wonderful is the way of expansion I am showing you. The words, “I can, I must, and I will” — that is the way to change yourself and achieve absolute victory. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Every morning, remind yourself that you are God’s child, and that no matter what the difficulties, you have the power to overcome them. Heir to the cosmic power of Spirit, you are more dangerous than danger! - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Don’t let people walk all over you, but always be so calm within that nobody can hurt you or take away your peace of mind. When I feel my kindness is abused repeatedly by someone, I become sternly silent and aloof until that person realizes his error; but I don’t become unkind. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
I could not think of being unkind, even to a mortal enemy. It would hurt me. I see so much unkindness in the world, and there is no excuse for me to add to it. When you love God, and when you see God in every soul, you cannot be mean. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
It is not necessary to agree on everything in order to show kindness. Calm silence, sincerity, and courteous words, whether one is agreeing or disagreeing with others, mark the person who knows how to behave. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
Sincere, sweet words are nectar to thirsty souls. Kind words are in demand everywhere. - Paramahansa Yogananda.
